We had an awesome experience, our fit expert Tavyn was awesome!!! She picked out the perfect sneakers and was very knowledgeable and cheerful! I would definitely recommend going to Tavyn if you go!

Some of the non-shoe items can be a little overpriced, but careful attention to sales and membership in their "VIP" program is essential - really, it pays for itself with the first pair, and if you wear through multiple pairs a year, you're missing out.

Honestly, this was a 2-star place. The quality of shoe I purchased was fine and their selection was great. That said, I had to deal with old-school used car salesman tactics from the moment I walked in. I was informed that I had to use their socks to try on shoes. Sure enough, they began trying to sell me on the socks I was wearing (which were $32). I told them when I walked in that I was trying to not "break the bank." The guy came out with several different pairs of shoes, only two of which were actually under $100. Finally, I selected my top two pairs of shoes and said I would take which ever one was cheaper. The salesman began in on the socks again and told me to pick out a pair and he would make me a deal since it was my first time there. The "deal" was to sign me up for VIP membership which brought my total cost to $132. I said no thank you to the membership as I don't buy shoes that often. He restated my price at $126. I asked which pair of shoes he rang me up with, and it was the more expensive pair. I stated that I wanted the cheaper pair and was repriced at $117. Again, I asked why the high price. He stated that without VIP membership the socks were $32! I got upset at this point and said "LOSE THE SOCKS!" Finally my price was under $90 and I made my purchase and left. There was no "have a nice day" or "thanks for your business" at the end. Instead, it was clear that he was disappointed that he was unable to get more money out of me. Watch out for these tactics at this store!

The staff is aggressively friendly, although skill level seems to vary a bit from person to person. As the new economy transitions more toward online shopping, the in-store experience has been definitely a cut above and worth the extra time.

As someone who had purchased from

Finding the perfect pair of running shoes is essential to the enjoyment of the hobby, and the "shoe dog" custom fit is easily worth the price. Road Runner also has a liberal return policy to make sure you're a good match for your shoes.

Road Runner via mail order before, I was pleased to find this retail store upon moving to the area.

i run cross country for my school and my ankles have been hurting me lately, i was recommended to go here by a friend and i am so happy i did. the customer service is so amazing and they really focus on your shoe problems. they really help you find the most comfortable shoe by running tests and letting you try them on while running on the treadmill. i really recommend this place!

I don't recommend this store at all for many reasons. They have a very hard sell around their VIP membership and other add on products (their socks in particular) which seems appealing - but is pushed hard. I fell for it (despite reading about in the reviews) and regretted it immediately. One of the 'benefits" of the membership is you have 90 days to return the product. The sneakers I bought as well as the sneakers I bought for my son, immediately fell apart (very poorly crafted which may not be the stores fault). They did replace my sneakers but the manager blamed me for the damage by saying that my orthotic inserts put undue pressure in places that caused the fabric to rip. Then the new pair (of the same sneakers) had the same issue again (this time I placed the inserts differently based on the manager's suggestion). When I tried to return them again (all within 90 days), a new saleswoman told me it was because I must be stepping on the other sneaker causing the rip. First of all that is ridiculous and I know my walk and I don't trip all over myself. When I told her that the manager said it was because of another reason she said he was wrong. But either way I was blamed and put in an uncomfortable position. Lastly, with my son, when he initially when was buying the sneakers he mentioned he would be using them to work out in a gym. Then the toe's fabric layer start peeling off and when we tried to return them, he was blamed (again) because they were running sneakers not work out sneakers. Then when we wanted to replace them, they again guided us to the running sneakers, when we just mentioned he'd be using them to work out. Oy. Lastly they have way to little sales help, and each time we had to wait over 10 minutes for help.
